GRP POD with unique appeal

One of the recent projects of which Harviglass is most proud is the ‘POD’ concept. A unique idea in modular retail furniture in GRP.

Compact, mobile, flexible and secure, the POD is a stylish café, or a bank, a mobile phone sales outlet, or a car hire office. Designed for managed public areas such as shopping malls, airports, sports venues, rail or bus stations, POD’s sleek contemporary styling maximises the design potential of GRP as a medium for retail furniture.

POD carries everything it needs to fulfil its function. As a café it is easily connected to power, water and drainage, even IT, while the on-board refrigerators, espresso machine, washer, sinks and cash tills make an efficient work place for one or two operatives. With extensive areas for graphics and contemporary lighting, this is a unit that will attract attention and, more importantly customers, wherever and however it operates.

Eighteen separate GRP components make a super-strong, durable enclosure for POD. The glossy ‘Granulon’ worktops compliment the self-coloured body panels and doors which access substantial storage cupboards and service points. The superb quality of the GRP moulding is enhanced by stainless steel, glass and acrylic detailing, lighting and signage. These units are set to become a common yet welcome sight in our everyday lives.
