Log-STOR is a simple idea to provide a permanent roof over your log pile. It simply fixes to any upright surface strong enough to support it and projects 60cm (2ft) over your logs keeping most of the rain away. This allows your logs to dry out and season slowly all year round so they will be perfect for your home fires next winter.

How it Works

The Log-STOR is a tough, sloping roof made in 1 metre (39”) wide sections with a 60cm (24”) projection off the wall. They can be butted together to provide a roof as long as you need. A typical domestic Log-STOR might be three or four roofs together, but any length is possible. The Log-STOR roof has a none-drip front edge which deflects rain off the end to avoid rainwater dripping on your logs. Log-STOR is made of GRP (fibreglass), carries a 20 year guarantee and is available in four colours; Brown, Green, Grey and Black. Also, the optional Log-STOR Base Tray provides a strong, slightly raised and sloping base which will keep your logs off the ground and allows excellent air circulation and drainage. The optional Log-STOR Rain Curtain further enhances this feature and the optional Log-STOR End Rails allow you to maximise storage by linking roof and base and makes easy log stacking right up to the end. Each 1 metre section will store approximately 1 cubic metre of logs if fixed at 1.5M roof height.

Fitting & Fixing

Fixing is easy. Simply draw a level line (or slightly tilted if you want the roof to drain to one end), along the wall against which you wish to store your logs, at the height you wish your Log-STOR roof to be. Up to 1.5M off the ground is common. (Hold the first Log-STOR roof in position on your line and mark the pre-drilled holes. Then, using appropriate fixings for your wall, (ie: wood screws, wall plugs or bolts, etc. not supplied) ensure that the roof is securely fixed. Small nut & bolt sets are supplied to clamp one roof to the next to minimise gaps. It is advisable to seal the joints and back edge with silicone sealant after installation. Very uneven walls may require carrier battens to be fixed first. The Log-STOR is made of GRP material that is TOTALLY WEATHERPROOF and requires no maintenance whatsoever. It will not degrade or weaken and has, with correct installation and use, a guaranteed life of 20 years and probably much more.

* The 20 year Guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship affecting the structure of Log-STOR only (not the Rain Curtain), in use in the UK where the manufacturer’s installation instructions have been correctly followed. It does not cover abuse, misuse, non-supplied fixings, inappropriate installation, colour fade or impact damage. Carriage and return and consequential losses are not included.

Other Uses?

You might find the Log-STOR has many other uses too. Some clients use them for dry storage over bicycles, motor cycles, wheel barrows, recycling bins or dustbins, kennels, hutches, garden tools and equipment, even as small porch roofs over doorways. But almost anywhere it can be securely fixed is fine.
